AdiCyte-A Legacy of Quality and Experience
AdiCyte was founded by Dr. David Harris, world renowned scientist and 'father' of stem cell banking, and Scott Edelman, former CEO of Tucson-based CellzDirect. AdiCyte is the premier cryobank for adipose tissue and stem cells. Through AdiCyte, patients can preserve their collected adipose tissue (fat) and powerful adipose stem cells for future use in cosmetic treatments for wrinkles, augmentation procedures, reconstructive surgeries, and importantly, in the emerging field of cellular regenerative medicine. Patients undergoing liposuction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), breast reduction and microlipoinjection are already having adipose tissue collected and can take advantage of their one-time opportunity* to save their own tissue for future use.
AdiCyte's scientific expertise is derived from a long legacy of experience. Dr. Harris has been cryopreserving stem cells and tissue since 1992 and was the first person to bank stem cells for use by an individual. Dr. Harris began banking stem cells from umbilical cord blood in 1992, and since then, the banking program has grown to be the largest stem cell bank in the world. Dr. Harris now brings his more than two decades of experience to AdiCyte and the processing and cryopreservation of adipose tissue and adipose derived stem cells. AdiCyte's state-of-the-art laboratory is located in Tucson, Arizona, at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.
